  • The Cardinals are finalizing a trade that sends quarterback Jacoby Brissett to the Ravens, according to NFL Network and ESPN, after Baltimore lost Tyler Huntley to season-ending turf toe surgery. The deal is expected to close this weekend, and Brissett is lined up for a Week 10 Monday night debut against the Chargers, not Thursday night against Jacksonville.

  • Quarterback carousel

Huntley's turf toe ends his season and leaves Joe Fagnano as Baltimore's Thursday night starter. Schefter and Rapoport both put Brissett in Baltimore once the paperwork clears. In Philadelphia, the Eagles named Joe Milton the starter for Sunday against the Giants and benched Tanner McKee, per Schefter and Garafolo. Seattle ruled Sam Darnold out with a quad injury that is week to week, with Drew Lock set to start. Cleveland placed Deshaun Watson in concussion protocol, putting Shedeur Sanders in line to start Sunday.

    Returns and cuts

New England opened Mack Hollins' IR practice window. Denver designated Pat Bryant to return from IR, and he practiced fully Wednesday. The Rams opened Terrance Ferguson's return window and had him limited, with Myles Garrett also limited. New Orleans had Jordyn Tyson back at practice. Las Vegas reinstated tight end Carter Runyon from IR and released receiver Cody White.

    Week 9 injury board

Garrett Wilson entered concussion protocol and did not practice Wednesday. Christian McCaffrey and Mike Evans both missed 49ers practice after the bye. Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith sat out for the Eagles. A.J. Brown and TreVeyon Henderson missed Patriots work. Cam Skattebo sat with a hamstring. Houston ruled David Montgomery out Sunday against the Chargers. Brandon Aiyuk is seeking reinstatement and planned to report Friday, but Kyle Shanahan said he has moved on mentally.

    Business

Sure Sports Lending, the broker tied to fake NFL player loan schemes involving impersonations of players such as Michael Penix Jr., Xavier McKinney and David Njoku, filed for Chapter 11 in South Florida.

    What to do now

Hold Brissett for the Week 10 stream once the trade is official, and keep Huntley on IR. Milton is a one-week dart only. Lock is a matchup stream while Darnold is week to week. Sanders is a speculative start if Watson stays in protocol. Stash Bryant and Hollins through their windows, and do not cut McCaffrey, Barkley, Wilson or Brown on a Wednesday DNP.

  • Watch the Brissett paperwork before the weekend, Thursday night's Ravens-Jaguars report for Fagnano and Tuten, and Friday practice for Barkley, Smith, McCaffrey, Evans and Wilson.
