The injury is listed as an ankle sprain. Ferguson left in the first quarter last week. Brevyn Spann-Ford then played 88 percent of the offensive snaps and caught four of five targets for 31 yards.
Practice week
Jon Machota reported Wednesday that Ferguson and Downs did not practice. RotoWire, citing Archer, also had Ferguson as a Thursday DNP. Friday was his first limited session of the week. Dallas has downplayed the severity, but the official designation remains questionable ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff in Indianapolis.
What RSO owners should do now
Treat Ferguson as a soft start until Dallas posts inactives. In weekly leagues, keep Spann-Ford or another TE ready if your lineup locks before that list. In dynasty and contract formats, this is short-term snap risk, not a roster teardown. The club is still working him toward Sunday rather than shutting him down for the week.
If you already locked Ferguson into a streaming TE slot that closes Saturday night, either ride the uncertainty or swap to a confirmed active before that deadline.
