Bhayshul Tuten misses Jaguars practice window two days before TNF

Jacksonville running back Bhayshul Tuten was not seen during the open portion of Tuesday's practice after a Monday non-participant listing for ankle and foot injuries. Chris Rodriguez Jr. is next in line but was limited Monday with a hand injury.

  • Jacksonville Jaguars running back Bhayshul Tuten was the only player not spotted during the open media portion of Tuesday's practice, ESPN's Michael DiRocco said Tuesday afternoon. Tuten is dealing with ankle and foot injuries, and the Jaguars play at Baltimore on Thursday night.

  • What's confirmed

The Jaguars listed Tuten as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, with ankle and foot as the injuries. Jacksonville held a walkthrough Monday, so that report was an estimate of what he would have done in a full session. Underdog NFL and RotoWire both posted the listing from the team's report Monday evening.

The same Monday report had Chris Rodriguez Jr. as limited with a hand injury. Rodriguez is the next running back in line if Tuten can't go, but he is carrying an injury of his own on a short week.

    What's still open

Not being seen during the media window is not the same as an official practice status. The Jaguars' Tuesday report will say whether Tuten was a non-participant or limited, and a Wednesday designation will follow before Thursday's game. No one with the team has ruled him out.

  • Baltimore will also be shorthanded at quarterback. Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley are both ruled out for Thursday, which could shape how much Jacksonville leans on the run.

What RSO owners should do now

If you roster Tuten, line up a fallback before Thursday's early lock. Waiting on a Wednesday report leaves very little room on a short week, and you don't want a zero in your flex.

If Rodriguez is still on your league's free-agent list, he is worth a claim or a short, cheap contract right now. His value depends on Tuten sitting and on his own hand holding up, so treat him as a one-week starter, not a long-term commitment.

Dynasty owners shouldn't move Tuten over this. A foot and ankle issue on a Thursday turnaround is a weekly call until the team says otherwise.

    What to watch next

Watch for the Jaguars' official Tuesday practice report tonight and Wednesday's final injury designations. A limited session would point toward Tuten playing. A second straight non-participant listing would make Rodriguez the likely early-down starter in Baltimore.
