  • Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is questionable for Sunday's home game against the Indianapolis Colts. He did not practice Friday and carries hamstring and ankle injuries into the weekend.

  • What is confirmed

Underdog NFL posted the questionable designation Friday afternoon. RotoWire and RotoBaller both confirmed the Friday practice miss and the questionable tag, and the Jaguars' Friday report, as posted by 1010 XL in Jacksonville, lists Meyers as a non-participant with hamstring and ankle injuries.

The Jaguars are coming off their Week 7 bye. Kickoff against the Colts is 1 PM ET on Sunday, so there is no late-game cushion for owners who want to wait on news.

Why it matters for RSO owners

Meyers signed a three-year, $60 million contract with Jacksonville in January, per RotoWire, so in contract leagues he carries a real salary. His last game was solid. He caught five of 10 targets for 83 yards against Houston in Week 6.

A Friday absence is the part that should worry you. Players who are limited all week and get a questionable tag usually play. A player who sits out the final practice is a true coin flip, and a hamstring can flare up in-game even if he suits up.

If Meyers sits, RotoWire expects Brian Thomas, Josh Cameron and Travis Hunter to pick up bigger roles behind Parker Washington. Thomas has the highest ceiling of that group if the targets shift his way.

  • What to do now

Line up a replacement before 1 PM Sunday. If you have a receiver in a late game with similar upside, start him over Meyers and remove the risk. If Meyers is your best option, leave him in and check the inactive list, which comes out about 90 minutes before kickoff.

Thomas and Hunter owners should keep them in lineups. Either could see extra work if Meyers is out or limited.

    What to watch next

Watch for any Saturday or Sunday morning update from Jacksonville insiders on whether Meyers is trending toward playing, and then the official inactives at about 11:30 AM ET Sunday. If he plays, watch his snap count early. A reduced share would point to a hamstring the team is managing, which matters for Week 9 decisions too.
