Saquon Barkley says his back injury won't keep him out after MNF loss

Barkley left Monday's 38-21 loss to Dallas with a back injury but said Tuesday his hamstring came out great. Cousins and Daniel Jones keep their jobs, and Price, Bech and Love head toward returns.

  • Saquon Barkley said Tuesday morning that his "hamstring came out great" and that he doesn't believe the back issue from Monday night will keep him out, per an ESPN story shared by Adam Schefter. Barkley left the Eagles' 38-21 loss to Dallas after scoring on the opening drive, and the team listed him as questionable to return with a back injury.

  • Barkley and the Eagles backfield

Confirmed: the Eagles listed Barkley as questionable to return Monday, and Dameon Pierce out-snapped him 21 to 8 by halftime. Pierce later headed to the locker room himself. Barkley's own word is that he expects to play, but Philadelphia has not put out an injury report yet.

    Quarterback decisions

Klint Kubiak named Kirk Cousins the Raiders' Week 8 starter, so No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza waits at least another week. In Indianapolis, Shane Steichen said Daniel Jones will remain the starter, per Underdog and ESPN. Cleveland reinstated Dillon Gabriel from injured reserve and is carrying four quarterbacks, per ESPN's transaction log.

    Practice windows and activations

Seattle opened the practice window for running back Jadarian Price (chest), with Mike Macdonald making the announcement. Las Vegas designated Jack Bech to return from injured reserve after his forearm fracture. Arizona said Jeremiyah Love (ankle) returns to practice Wednesday after missing two games.

The Eagles reinstated tight ends Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers and guard Landon Dickerson from IR before Monday's game.

    New injuries and moves

Cardinals receiver Jalen Brooks said a wrist injury ends his season. Colts receiver Alec Pierce (heel) is unlikely to practice this week. Seahawks tackle Charles Cross has a high-ankle sprain, with the hope that he returns in one to two weeks. Carolina placed right tackle Taylor Moton on IR, and Buffalo placed Chauncey Gardner-Johnson on the reserve/suspended list.

  • What RSO owners should do now

Barkley owners should still add Pierce where he is free, at least until Barkley practices. Price is worth a stash in deeper Seattle-heavy leagues, and Love owners should keep him in place while he works back. Don't spend cap or picks on Mendoza yet.

    What to watch next

The first full injury reports land Wednesday. Watch Barkley's and Pierce's practice status in Philadelphia, Love's workload in Arizona and how much Price does in Seattle.
