Ryland's walk-off kick tops Rams as Walker and Tucker lead late games
Chad Ryland kicked six field goals, the last as time expired, to give Arizona an 18-16 win over the Rams, while Kenneth Walker III scored twice for Kansas City. Ladd McConkey's concussion, Davante Adams' late injury and a Chargers play-calling question give RSO owners things to track this week.

Arizona beat the Rams 18-16 at SoFi Stadium on Sunday when Chad Ryland hit a 43-yard field goal as time expired, his sixth field goal of the day, according to the ESPN box score and the NFL's highlight post. Kenneth Walker III ran for two scores in Kansas City's win over the Chargers, and Buffalo held off Las Vegas in a game that swung late.
Final scores
- Cardinals 18, Rams 16
- Chiefs 22, Chargers 6
- Bills 33, Raiders 30
Quarterbacks
Josh Allen went 23 of 33 for 255 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Kirk Cousins threw for 313 yards and two scores on 41 attempts, with one pick, and nearly forced overtime with a 44-yard touchdown pass at the 1:32 mark. Matthew Stafford completed 25 of 33 for 222 yards and two touchdowns, including a 6-yard score to Colby Parkinson with 47 seconds left that briefly put the Rams ahead.
Patrick Mahomes was efficient, 23 of 30 for 272 yards, but threw no touchdowns and one interception. Justin Herbert had the roughest day of the window: 204 yards on 37 attempts, no touchdowns, one interception and four sacks. Jacoby Brissett threw for 218 yards with no scores and a pick for Arizona.
Running backs
Walker carried 19 times for 128 yards and touchdowns of 33 and 2 yards. James Cook III ran 22 times for 95 yards and a late go-ahead score and added 58 receiving yards on three catches.
In Arizona, Bam Knight outran Tyler Allgeier, 80 yards on 15 carries to 38 on 18. Ashton Jeanty scored from a yard out but managed 22 yards on 10 carries, while Mike Washington Jr. had 43 yards on nine. The Rams split work almost evenly, with Kyren Williams at 10 carries for 50 yards and Blake Corum at nine for 42 plus a touchdown catch. Williams told reporters the offense stalled "probably because I'm not out there." Omarion Hampton had 18 yards on seven carries for the Chargers.
Receivers and tight ends
Tre Tucker caught five passes for 97 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Mayer had 95 yards on seven catches, and Brock Bowers caught four of nine targets for 70. Keon Coleman scored on a 12-yard throw and finished with 59 yards, and Khalil Shakir also scored. Puka Nacua led the Rams with 80 yards on six catches.
Trey McBride caught seven of nine targets but for only 53 yards. Xavier Worthy caught all seven targets for 73 yards, and Travis Kelce added 53. Quentin Johnston had one catch, a 57-yarder.
What changed for RSO owners
Ladd McConkey was ruled out with a concussion after one catch for 17 yards. Davante Adams limped off late in the Rams loss, and the team has not given an update. Rams kicker Blake Grupe hurt his knee, so punter Ethan Evans kicked the go-ahead extra point. After the loss, Jim Harbaugh would not commit to Mike McDaniel continuing to call plays and said the offense "needs to be addressed."
Knight and Washington are worth a bid as their roles grow. Tucker and Mayer are fine short-term adds in deeper leagues. Keep starting Walker and Cook. Hold Hampton, but the Chargers offense needs an answer before he is a safe start again.
Watch McConkey's concussion protocol, any Adams news on Monday, the Rams kicker market and whether the Chargers change play-callers.
