  • Tennessee Titans wide receiver Carnell Tate was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month for October on Thursday, the league announced and the Titans confirmed. Adam Schefter noted that Tate and linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., the September Defensive Rookie of the Month, are the first Titans teammates to earn the honor in the same season.

  • Tate, the No. 4 overall pick out of Ohio State, finished October with 21 catches for 290 yards and one touchdown across four games, per NFL.com and the Titans' release. From Week 4 through Week 8 he led all rookies in receiving yards, and his 13.8-yard average led rookies with at least 12 receptions. His breakout came Oct. 4 at Baltimore with nine catches for 145 yards, the most by a Titans receiver since A.J. Brown in 2021. He scored his first NFL touchdown on an eight-yard catch from Cam Ward at Indianapolis on Oct. 18, then added five catches for 69 yards against Cleveland on Oct. 25.

  • On the season Tate leads Tennessee with 413 receiving yards through eight games even after missing the Week 8 game at Cincinnati with an injury. The Titans list him with Bill Groman (1960) and Ernest Givins (1986) as the only players in franchise history to clear 400 receiving yards in the first seven games of a rookie season. Hill's September award and Tate's October award give Tennessee two Rookie of the Month winners before midseason.

For RSO dynasty and redraft owners, treat Tate as Cam Ward's top wideout when healthy. Keep him in weekly starting lineups in redraft and as a cornerstone WR in dynasty. The Week 8 absence was an injury sit. Watch next week's practice reports for any leftover designation, then keep him ahead of the rest of Tennessee's depth chart. Hill remains the IDP add if you roster linebackers.

What to watch: Friday and Saturday practice notes for any new injury tag before Week 10, and whether Ward keeps feeding Tate early downs the way he did in the Baltimore and Indianapolis games.
