  • The Indianapolis Colts traded two veteran starters on Tuesday, sending guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to San Francisco. Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport broke both deals, and ESPN's transaction log confirms them.

  • The Colts sell

Seattle gave up a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth for Nelson, who is on an expiring deal. San Francisco sent a 2027 fourth for Buckner, the player it drafted in 2016. Josh Downs and Jonathan Taylor are still part of the trade talk in Indianapolis, but nothing has moved on either one.

Two running backs and a tight end hit IR

Giants general manager Joe Schoen said Tyrone Tracy Jr. is going on injured reserve with a hamstring injury. The team says it isn't long term, but he has to miss at least four games. New York signed running back Gregory Desrosiers off the Chargers' practice squad to fill the spot.

Cincinnati placed tight end Erick All Jr. on IR with a knee injury that Rapoport says is believed to be a torn ACL. The Bengals signed Cam Grandy off Minnesota's practice squad.

    Returns and practice reports

Las Vegas activated receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. from IR a day before his practice window closed. Rapoport said Tuesday night that Seattle's Zach Charbonnet is expected to make his season debut Monday at Chicago, though Mike Macdonald hasn't said so publicly.

Packers receiver Matthew Golden (shoulder, foot) missed his second straight practice before Thursday night's game against Carolina. Arizona signed receiver Zay Jones and moved Jalen Brooks to IR, and Philadelphia waived running back Carson Steele from IR with an injury settlement.

  • What RSO owners should do now

Tracy owners need a four-week plan, and Desrosiers is only a deep-league flier until he gets work. All's dynasty value takes a real hit if the ACL is confirmed, so don't pay for him in trade talks this week. Charbonnet owners can get him ready for a Monday lineup, but keep a backup on the bench until Seattle's injury report confirms it.

    What to watch next

Wednesday's Packers report decides Golden's Thursday outlook. Seattle's first full practice report shows how close Charbonnet is, and any Downs or Taylor deal would change the Colts' offense right away.
