  • The Washington Commanders visit the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, Oct. 19, at 8:15 PM ET on ESPN and ABC from Levi's Stadium. San Francisco is 5-0 and Washington is 1-3-1, and both teams spent Monday afternoon shuffling their skill-position groups.

  • What is confirmed

The 49ers ruled out wide receiver Christian Kirk (calf), who stays on injured reserve with his practice window open, and elevated receiver Malik Turner and linebacker Jalen Graham from the practice squad. Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa are also out for San Francisco.

Washington placed running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt on injured reserve with a groin injury, so he misses at least four games. The Commanders activated running back Jeremy McNichols, cornerback Trey Amos and linebacker Jordan Magee from IR for tonight.

    Inactives settled

Mike Evans is active for San Francisco despite not practicing this week with rib and Achilles issues, and Stefon Diggs (hamstring) is active for Washington, per ProFootballTalk.

  • The fantasy picture

With Samuel and Kirk out, Brock Purdy's targets narrow to Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Evans. Purdy has posted a passer rating above 100 in four of five games, per Underdog NFL.

On the Washington side, Rachaad White should lead the backfield with Croskey-Merritt gone, and Austin Ekeler remains the passing-down option. Jayden Daniels' rushing gives him a steady floor against a 49ers front playing without Bosa.

  • What RSO owners should do now

Start McCaffrey, Kittle, Purdy and Daniels as usual. Keep Evans in your lineup, though his week without practice makes him a riskier start. Move Croskey-Merritt to an IR slot rather than cutting him. White is a solid flex tonight.

    What to watch next

Watch how much Evans plays after a week without practice. Also watch how many snaps White takes and whether McNichols gets work, since that sets Washington's backfield for the next month.
