  • The Patriots brought Hassan Haskins back to their practice squad Tuesday, returning a running back who began the season with New England before being released Sept. 14.

The team also signed cornerback D’Shawn Jamison to the practice squad and released linebacker Jose Ramirez from that unit. Haskins’ signing is a practice-squad move, with no active-roster promotion or game-day elevation announced.

The addition follows ESPN’s report that TreVeyon Henderson is expected to miss multiple weeks with a high ankle sprain suffered Sunday against Las Vegas. The reported injury does not require surgery, but it leaves New England looking for depth behind Rhamondre Stevenson and Corey Kiner.

  • Haskins is familiar with the organization after first signing with the Patriots in August. New England’s announcement lists 44 regular-season appearances, one start, 229 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns for him. He has also returned 28 kickoffs for 646 yards.

The 26-year-old entered the league as a fourth-round Tennessee draft pick in 2022 after playing at Michigan. He later spent two seasons with the Chargers before coming to New England.

Jamison adds another practice-squad option at cornerback. Tuesday’s announcement supplies depth at both positions while the Patriots prepare for Sunday’s game against the Jets.
