  • The Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Dallas Cowboys 24-16 on Thursday Night Football, their first win of 2026, with Bucky Irving carrying the offense in Jalon Daniels' second NFL start.

  • Irving ran 21 times for 165 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 10 yards and another score, 175 total yards and two touchdowns on ESPN's box score. Daniels completed 19 of 25 for 189 yards and one touchdown with no interceptions, plus seven carries for 23 yards. Emeka Egbuka caught six of nine targets for 38 yards and scored on a 14-yard jet-sweep rush to open the second half. Tez Johnson's one catch went for 64 yards. Chris Godwin had three for 37. Cade Otton finished with three for 25 on four targets. Kenny Gainwell and Sean Tucker combined for nine carries and 36 yards behind Irving.

Dak Prescott threw for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions on 24-of-42 passing. George Pickens caught nine for 130 yards and the late touchdown on 13 targets. CeeDee Lamb managed two catches for nine yards on five targets. Javonte Williams ran 12 times for 45 yards and a touchdown and caught two for 17. Jake Ferguson had three catches for 19 yards on six targets. Ryan Flournoy added three for 90.

What changed for RSO owners is the usage picture. Irving ran a true workhorse night while Gainwell and Tucker stayed in support, so Tampa's backfield hierarchy looks settled when he is healthy. Daniels won a primetime game with efficient passing and no turnovers while Baker Mayfield remains out with his thumb. Godwin and Otton were quiet relative to Irving and the Egbuka rush score. In Dallas, Pickens ate while Lamb's five targets produced almost nothing, and Ferguson's six targets did not turn into yardage. Treat that as one-game variance until next week's notes, not a permanent demotion, but it is a real dud night for Lamb owners.

Keep Irving locked in as Tampa's lead back and leave Daniels in the conversation while Mayfield is sidelined. Fade overreactions on Lamb and Ferguson until the Cowboys' next depth-chart and injury notes land. Watch whether Mayfield is back for Week 6 and whether Lamb's volume rebounds after five looks for nine yards on Thursday.
