  • Jeremiyah Love will miss Sunday's game against the Rams with an ankle injury, Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur said Friday. Tyler Allgeier will start, with Bam Knight behind him, according to the Cardinals' report.

Arizona held Love out of practice throughout the week. LaFleur said the team has not discussed placing him on injured reserve. The Cardinals want to let the ankle heal; they have not announced a return date. NBC Sports' Josh Alper also reported Friday's decision.

Love gained 22 yards on 12 carries against Detroit last Sunday. LaFleur said the ankle has affected both his cuts as a runner and his ability to separate on pass routes. Allgeier takes over for the Rams game after Love played in each of Arizona's first five regular-season games.
