  • The Chicago Bears beat the New England Patriots 30-24 on Thursday Night Football at Soldier Field, per ESPN's final box score. Chicago moves to 5-2 and New England falls to 4-3. Rome Odunze recovered the Patriots' onside kick to end it after Andy Borregales hit a 47-yard field goal with 37 seconds left.

  • The stat lines that matter

Caleb Williams completed 22 of 33 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Drake Maye matched him at 24 of 31 for 321 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, and added a 7-yard rushing score.

Luther Burden III was the night's big receiver. He caught all four of his targets for 130 yards and a 24-yard touchdown just before halftime, with a long of 58. Colston Loveland led Chicago with 12 targets and caught seven for 69 yards and a 12-yard score. Odunze added four catches for 69 yards.

D'Andre Swift carried 22 times for 78 yards and a touchdown, plus four catches for 12 yards. The volume is there even if the efficiency wasn't.

For New England, Rhamondre Stevenson turned five catches into 93 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown on the last play of the first half, but ran for only 22 yards on six carries. TreVeyon Henderson had three carries for 9 yards. Hunter Henry caught all seven targets for 71 yards, and rookie tight end Eli Raridon scored from 30 yards out. A.J. Brown was the dud of the night, with three catches for 48 yards on six targets.

    What changed for RSO owners

Cole Kmet was carted off with a knee injury and ruled out, which leaves Loveland as Chicago's clear lead tight end. His 12 targets fit that role. If Kmet misses time, Loveland becomes a weekly starter.

  • Burden's big plays came on limited volume, so treat him as an upside flex rather than a locked-in starter until his targets climb. In New England, Stevenson's receiving work keeps him ahead of Henderson for now.

    What to do now

Start Loveland with confidence and hold Burden as a bench piece with real upside. Keep Brown in lineups, since one quiet game on six targets is noise. Kmet owners should check that IR slots are open.

    What to watch next

Watch for an update on Kmet's knee once he has imaging, and whether Burden's snap share grows over the Bears' next few games.
